ANALYGENCE Awarded Contract to Support NIST in Developing Cybersecurity Evaluation Tasks for Frontier AI Models

Fulton, MD – ANALYGENCE, a leader in mission-focused cyber solutions and intelligence services supporting the military, intelligence, and federal civilian communities, has been awarded a new contract by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to support the U.S. Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute (AISI) in developing cybersecurity evaluation tasks for frontier Artificial Intelligence (AI) models.

Under this award, ANALYGENCE will work hand-in-hand with NIST to design and implement evaluation tasks that measure how advanced AI models might perform in sensitive cybersecurity situations. This effort will establish new methods for testing and validating AI systems before deployment, ensuring they can be trusted to operate safely and responsibly. The work will explore areas such as vulnerability discovery, lateral movement in networks, and the potential to develop exploits—helping NIST build a foundation for safer and more secure use of AI in the future.

“This award highlights ANALYGENCE’s growing role at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence,” said Lonnie Parker, CEO of ANALYGENCE. “As frontier models continue to evolve, it is critical that we work with NIST and the AI Safety Institute to ensure rigorous evaluation methods are in place—strengthening trust, transparency, and resilience in how these technologies are deployed.”

As the pace of AI innovation accelerates, ANALYGENCE remains committed to advancing national security through technical excellence and strategic collaboration. This partnership with NIST marks a pivotal step in shaping the standards that will guide the safe and ethical deployment of frontier AI technologies.
